Primitive camping, carside camping, Pop-up AirBnB glamping, rental RVs, RV electric sites, a few bunk house rooms on site OR discounted room block at Shaker Village down the road all AVAILABLE (so many options)

Come join us for the whole event and don’t miss out on a single activity!  Spaces for primitive tent and car side camping widely available in beautiful setting. For the glamping contact, you can reach out directly to Pop-Up AirBnB here. Message us directly if you are interested in bringing an RV, renting an RV or you need to reserve a bunk bed spot (priority elders and teachers). Shared bathhouse/restroom facilities provided.

Lunch and dinner provided each day as a communal meal.

BYO - Bring Your Own - Pack like you’re camping.

  • Bring food, snacks, and drinks for breakfast and between meals.

  • Bring a reusable water bottle and mess kit. We will appreciate you to bring a bowl and silverware for group meals; we will have a dishwashing station set-up with a three compartment sink you can use.

  • Bring an empty mason jar and you can take it home filled with lard or wild fall ferment. Maybe bring a couple of jars... Sourdough starter anyone?

Is the event family friendly? Absolutely. Children are invited and welcome as they are part of the community as well. There will be some child-centered programming. There will be opportunity for parents to collaborate on taking turns leading kids who are big enough to "pack up" (in the wild dog sense, not in the pack-and-play sense) so that adults can make the most out of workshop time. We have invited homeschool groups, girl scout troops and waldorf folks with hope for a good youth energy, though who comes to the festival is up to you. Kids 15 and under come free.

Pack for the weather!

Weather can be hard to predict.  Make sure you pack appropriate and adequate clothing and footwear to be outdoors.  Bonfires will be available for cooking and warming up.

Can I come for workshops if I can't stay all weekend. What is happens each day? We are selling Saturday day-passes for the main day of workshops. More than 20 classes are lined up for that day from breathwork to making ferments and sourdough to a keynote about the link between land health and food nutritional density and a panel discussion about the possible transition pathways we can imagine "to the next civilization" which we see coming for better or for worse, and with a transition that could look a lot of different ways. If you can't come Saturday and would like to use the day pass on Friday or Sunday, just let us know. Friday is mainly a social day to bring everyone together and let us build the space (setting up camp, setting up our group intentions, starting the music and fire and the communal food) that will host the festival. Sunday will have the cheesemaking class and main pavillion group conversations about "Building Community Food Webs" led by Ken Meter who write a great book by that name.

Are pets allowed? We love animals, we really do, but for everyone involved it is best if you keep your furry friends at home for this event
